Junior Executive
Responsibilities:
- Process engineering design - develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), mass and energy balances, utility consumption calculations, and process design criteria.
- Equipment engineering - prepare process equipment specifications, datasheets, and sizing calculations for tanks, silos, vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, mixers, conveyors, and utility systems.
- Process optimization - evaluate existing manufacturing processes and recommend improvements to enhance capacity, efficiency, product quality, and operational reliability.
- Technical proposal support - assist in developing process concepts, engineering scope, equipment lists, and technical proposals for new projects and plant upgrades.
- Multi-disciplinary coordination — work closely with mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and civil engineers to ensure integrated and practical engineering solutions.
- Vendor and procurement support — review technical quotations, evaluate vendor proposals, and provide technical clarifications during procurement activities.
- Site survey and commissioning support — conduct site visits, collect process data, support installation activities, and participate in commissioning, start-up, and performance testing.
- Process safety and compliance — support HAZOP studies, risk assessments, and ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, safety requirements, and client specifications.
- Technical problem-solving — troubleshoot process issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical engineering solutions during project execution and plant operation.
- Engineering documentation — prepare and maintain process calculations, reports, datasheets, operating philosophies, commissioning procedures, and project records.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or equivalent.
- Preferably 3–5 years of experience in process plant engineering, manufacturing, food processing, chemical, mineral, or pharmaceutical industries
- Familiar with process engineering calculations, equipment sizing, and process design principles.
- Knowledge of PFD and P&ID development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoCAD P&ID, or process simulation software is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
- Willing to travel within Malaysia and overseas for project assignments.
- Possessing a valid driving licence is an advantage.
